Contours

For class one day, we had to go to three different spots on the campus of UNCG and do contour drawings of the buildings in that area. For homework, we were to go back to one of those spots and do another contour drawing of that area. Here are mine:

This is the first drawing I did sitting in front of the School of Education building looking down College Ave.

And here is my second drawing, looking at the same area.

wow great job. you must draw pretty fast. it has really good detail.... and your second drawing is a lot more clean and has crisper lines

I've noticed this whole cartoon scheme going around on these drawings, but in yours its actually very precise. The lines are clean and straight. Your depth in both drawings is spectacular. My favorite is the second, only because it looks complete. The first is nice but I really cant see the ground, so its almost floating in space. The second really fixs that and has a solid confident structure to it. Nice work!

This is beautiful! And the first one you did was still better than what I could come up with. The whole picture is so clear and precise. I am particularly impressed with the little UNCG banner right in the center. You made it look as though it were so easy to draw. I'm jealous! Great job!

Ben is right, the precision of your second drawing is remarkable, you have very clean lines. One thing I think would help it though is if you added some details of what is in front of the fence, and maybe a building off in the distance. I am not sure if there was one from that view or not, but I think that would really fill out the page and enhance the feeling of space. Great job though!

Both of your second and first drawings are pretty much amazing to me, I think you did a really good job of including everything and making it actually look like a place on campus unlike mine!
